Kelly Bell
Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Kelly Bell serves as a member of the Executive Team at the Dumb Friends League, where she plays a key role in shaping brand strategy and overseeing the organization’s marketing operations. With over three decades of experience in marketing, communications, non-profit leadership, and strategic planning, Kelly is a forward-thinking leader committed to driving impactful initiatives that expand the League’s mission and reach.
As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Kelly is responsible for developing and executing the League’s marketing strategy and positioning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and enhancing the visibility and impact of the League’s work. Her background includes expertise in brand identity, communications, operations, event management, and donor relations, along with a deep passion for social impact and creating positive change in the community.
Prior to joining the Dumb Friends League, Kelly held the position of Regional Director at Special Olympics Florida, where she led sports training, competitions, and volunteer engagement across the region. She also served as Director of Business Operations at a Denver-based nonprofit social enterprise, where she drove operational strategy, marketing initiatives, and donor communications. In this role, she played a key part in a successful capital campaign that supported the development of a revamped 20,000-square-foot facility, ensuring the organization’s long-term impact and sustainability.
Kelly holds a degree in Communications from Vanguard University of Southern California. She has chaired the Board of Directors for the Social Enterprise Alliance Colorado Chapter and co-chaired its marketing committee. Kelly is also an active member of the Metro Denver Animal Welfare Alliance (MDAWA) communications committee. Additionally, she has served as a panel moderator for the Miami Marlins Unified Leadership Town Hall and as the Code of Responsibility Officer for the Direct Selling Association.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her partner and friends and finds inspiration in her three dogs, of which two are League alums—Shiloh (English Cream Golden Retriever), Jack (Havanese), and Charlie (Maltese). She also loves the great outdoors, including hiking, biking, golfing, and paddle boarding in Colorado and at her cabin in Maine.
