At any given time, we have an average of over 1,000 animals in our shelters and facilities, each of whom needs warmth, nourishment, and specialized care. In the first 7 months of 2022 alone, you have helped provide:
- Safe shelter for 18,349 pets who have come through our doors
- Temporary foster placements for 336 animals
- Loving families for 13,383 pets and 112 horses
- Helpful resources for 185 families seeking guidance through our free behavior helpline
- 15,152 spay/neuter surgeries for shelter and community animals
- Accessible vaccine clinics in priority communities, serving 7,132 participants
- 1,883 donor-subsidized veterinary exams at our new Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur
- The investigation of 966 calls of possible animal maltreatment through the Colorado Humane Society, a program of the Dumb Friends League
